“Uzbekistan Moves Forward with HSCMT to Deploy Smart Metering Systems”

Ilhom Turaev, Chairman of Issikliktaminoti JSC, recently held an official 

meeting with Kim Byung-hoon, CEO of HSCMT, a leading South Korean manufacturer of smart metering solutions.

HSCMT produces smart meters across water, heating, and electricity sectors and exports its 

technologies to multiple countries worldwide. The company previously demonstrated its 

capabilities in Uzbekistan through a pilot project in 2019, and discussions

on expanding cooperation have continued since then.

During the meeting, Chairman Ilhom Turaev emphasized that 

“each project must be carried out with a shared sense of responsibility by both parties, 

and initiatives should not remain at the pilot stage,” urging tangible progress in the partnership.

Both sides reviewed a range of cooperation models in detail, including attracting international grants, 

installing smart meters within boiler room systems in selected regions, 

and applying HSCMT’s AI-based software solutions in Uzbekistan.

Based on these discussions, the two parties agreed to develop a concrete roadmap within three days.

Following the meeting, the delegation also visited the central dispatch service center of 

Issikliktaminoti JSC, where they reviewed its operational system and current activities.
