The Korea International Water Industry Expo (WATER KOREA 2026), the nation’s largest water industry exhibition, is being held at BEXCO in Busan from March 18 to 20.
HSCMT is drawing strong attention from industry professionals by showcasing its smart water management solution, SWNM (Smart Water Network Management). Co-hosted by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Korea Water and Wastewater Works Association, the exhibition aims to strengthen the competitiveness of Korea’s water industry and support its expansion into global markets.
Since its launch in 2002, WATER KOREA—now in its 23rd edition—has become a leading international platform for water technologies, policies, and industry trends. Under the theme “Smart Water Blue Future,” this year’s event features 216 companies presenting a wide range of advanced solutions, including AI-based smart water and wastewater systems and carbon-neutral technologies.
Among them, HSCMT’s SWNM stands out as an intelligent water management platform that analyzes GIS-based water distribution network data in real time and optimizes system operations. The platform provides intuitive visualization of network conditions and supports decision-making through advanced analytics and simulation functions, contributing to improved water distribution efficiency and reduced leakage damage. Beyond simple monitoring, SWNM functions as an integrated solution that enables data-driven forecasting and operational strategy planning. It is highly regarded for its scalability and practical effectiveness in a rapidly evolving market transitioning toward smart water management.
An HSCMT representative stated, “As climate change intensifies and water demand increases, the paradigm of water management is rapidly shifting. SWNM is a core platform that enables more precise and efficient operations based on real-time field data, and we expect it to demonstrate strong competitiveness not only domestically but also in the global market.”
Meanwhile, the exhibition also hosts various programs, including an export consultation session with over 60 international buyers, the Korea–U.S. Water Industry Conference, the International Wastewater Surveillance Symposium, and the Future Water Forum—further expanding global opportunities for domestic companies. |
